Re: Daily check ins Howlett, Lee Ann 04 Oct 2007 16:19 UTC

Lilah,

We still perform check-in for our print
periodicals but we do not for our newspapers.
Of course, we only subscribe to 3 papers but
we have a note on the records stating that the
library retains the current daily issue only.
Since one person is in charge of putting the
papers out in our reading area, we know when an
issue does not arrive.

Hope this helps!

Lee Ann

Subject: [SERIALST] Daily check ins

All,

Does everyone check in daily newspapers or is it common practice to not
do so? I recall people talking on this list about not checking in any
periodicals at all, but I would rather hear from someone who does check
things in but has made a decision to not check in certain titles due to
the daily chore.

Thanks!

Lilah
