Re: Electronic Access to Haworth Press Journals Tracey Thompson 22 Jul 2008 15:30 UTC
I have not. I received one response which is very similar to what was posted below. I have also emailed three other people, and I have not received a response asking about a refund and stating that the lack of access was becoming a breach of contract. My vendor has contacted T&F with our subscription list. T&F sent it to Haworth to verify that all were activated. Haworth has been completely silent. I just checked again, and I am still not even able to open the website let alone download an article or check a subscription. If I don't receive a response by the end of the week, I will contact our purchasing office and see what options I have. I may also send a registered letter. I am determined to pursue this issue. Please let me know if anyone has any luck. Thanks, Tracey Tracey Thompson Acquisitions Librarian New Mexico State University Library MSC 3475 P.O. Please be assured that Taylor & Francis Group is actively supporting the Haworth Press website for journals. A transition plan is in place which is available at www.informaworld.com/haworth. This plan will be updated with information regarding the transition over the coming months, and we will send regular communications to customers via email regarding the process. We plan to dual host for a period to allow customers time to update their catalogues, and to ensure the transition has minimal impact on library users. To that end we are also in touch with link resolver vendors to ensure their knowledgebases are appropriately updated. We are aware that the Haworth Press site at times runs very slowly and will continue to work to improve performance on the site in the interim. Anyone needing assistance with the haworthpress site can contact haworthpress@taylorandfrancis.com. We have extra staff allocated to help librarians with any issues. If you have any subscription related queries our customer service team are on hand to assist and can be contacted at tf.enquiries@informa.com. I hope this information is helpful. Please let me know if I can be of further assistance.
