Re: Journal costs Rothbaum, Ellen 21 Nov 2008 20:21 UTC

We cancel titles when the prices are exorbitant. Then we inform the
publisher of that detail.

Subject: [SERIALST] Journal costs

Hello all,

I realize that I am going to sound extraordinarily naive but I must
admit
that I am reeling over sticker shock. We just received the renewal
notification for Journal of Vocational Behavior, and discovered that
next
year this bimonthly is going to cost libraries, $1,101. Of course, I
find
this astounding. Each issue is $183.50! How are others handling these
unconscionable prices?

Thank you for letting me have a mini-rant.

Regards,
