Re: Koha for serials? Nicole Engard 12 Feb 2009 15:40 UTC

Carolyn,

I am the documentation manager for Koha 3.0 and so I have an in-depth
knowledge of how serials works in the system. First, I want to point
you to the public demos (http://liblime.com/demos) - you can actually
play with serials on these systems and see how they work. Next, you
are free to look at the manual which is online for all at:
https://sites.google.com/a/liblime.com/koha-manual/

Basically, Koha does have the ability to handle your serials with some
nice automation features (like subscription planning and numbering).
I also happen to know that there are new developments in the works for
this area of the system.

I can put your in contact with people I know are using the Koha
serials module, or you can join the Koha mailing list and ask the
people on there (http://koha.org/community/mailing-lists.html).

Hope that helps you get started with your research.
