It has been brought to my attention in some very dramatic ways that
I've given some incorrect subscription instructions for Citations for
serial literature.  To subscribe via BITNET (the right way):

     send a one line message to: listserv@mitvma
     that reads: sub sercites <your name>

This error raises two interesting points.  The first is that I had
been warned by other list owners that there are many pitfalls along the
way.  The second point is that subscribing to electronic lists isn't
always as easy as it seems.  The time has surely come for all of us to
look seriously at the MARBI discussion paper which suggests the inclusion of
subscription instructions in bibliographic records for electronic
resources.

I hope my error will not keep anyone from subscribing to Citations for
serial literature.
