Modern & contemporary France Lori Robare 27 Apr 1993 21:48 UTC

Our library has just added the journal *Modern & contemporary France,*
beginning with a volume numbered: NS1 Number 1 1993.

I'm a novice at serials cataloging and this one has me stumped. There is
a record for the titlein OCLC (*12300070)--it began in 1984 and is the
official journal of the Association for the Study of Modern & Contemporary
France. I believe that I should simply add the new series numbering in
the 362 of this record...but there are two stumbling blocks. First, I
don't have the last number of the original series in hand. Second, the
issue I do have bears an ISSN which is different from the original series!
The publisher has changed (from the Association to Longman), but I had
never heard of a change in ISSN resulting from such a switch...

Any guidance would be much appreciated!
