In cleaning up some old microform cataloging we came across a problem
with the Times higher education supplement. OCLC record #4396681 has the title
closed out and superseded by The Higher (#25575526). The Supplement did go by
that title briefly, between 1991 and 1992, but changed back. The microfilm
title screen does clearly show The Higher as the title, but the images of the
Supplements themselves obviously show The Times higher education supplement.
It seems to me that although the title screen of the microfilm says The higher,
the title should still be The Times Higher Education Supplement, with a 246
for the Higher and a 515 for the Higher, as was done in the record for the
paper. Am I completely off base here?
Thank you very much for your help.
