Cornell began to use East View Publications for some 1994 subscriptions to
journals and newspapers. I haven't formally evaluated their service yet,
but haven't heard any complaints about nondelivery.

Their prices were better than those offered by our European dealers, though
of course price is only one factor of total cost. These prices can change
quite drastically from year to year. We've also noticed that a large part
of the price is to cover shipping--sometimes 1/2 of the subscription price.

We also use Russian Press Service, but mostly for approval plan monographs.
The serials we do receive are published by the Akademii Nauk (Moscow). We
have noticed a problem with missing issues, especially at the beginning of
the calendar year which leads one to believe that some bills didn't get
paid in time for 1994 renewals. I am in the midst of evaluating their
service.

Ebsco has announced an office opening in Moscow.
Kubon & Sagner is a possibility.
Harrassowitz says they can supply anything.

Hope this helps.
