Caroljean,

We haven't used these for serials, but we have successfully used them
for curriculum materials, that are divided into general, elementary,
and secondary levels.  We used see-through colored labels that covered
the spine label, then covered all with a clear label protector (the
colored labels do no stay on well, by themselves).  A mis-shelved
item stands out like a sore thumb, and in fact is unlikely to *be*
mis-shelved!  We used yellow, pink, and blue.  The green are
difficult to read through, but we have used just a sliver of green
label at the bottom of the spine label for Reference materials.  This
has helped keep Ref materials in their place, and circulating
materials out of Reference.
