Betsy,
I was the one who posted the original question. I actually had the
Life-health United States *and* Property-casualty United States. I
had called the publisher and talked to a customer services person
who gave me the information. I don't have the Canadian edition, but
she read to me the title page and cover information. As a serials
cataloger, I'm picky :) so I don't consider that a concrete yes the
title has changed. I did ask her about the makeup of the Canadian
volume and if it included material from the other runs, as well. She
told me it did. I did go ahead and set both runs up as title
changes/splits and followed the suggestions that were given to me
by the SERIALST readers. But, I also added a note to myself in our
local 019 standing order processing notes.

You can access our online catalog on Internet if you would like to see
exactly what I did with both runs. Our OPAC allows public access to our
MARC records. Our catalog can be reached by telneting to VAX2.UTULSA.EDU,
the login is "LIAS". Just type in the title or issns (with prefix issn)
and select the line number. Once you are looking at the record, the "dim"
display marc command allows you to look at our marc record. "Next" and
"Prev" are the commands for next one screen, or back one screen. Back is
the command for going back to the index list or from a record to the
citation list. The "dir" command returns the patron display of a record.
For explanations of the commands, type "Help commands".

I found an OCLC record for Best's insurance reports. Canada.
#31186839. It didn't mention the Property-casualty at that time (in
November) but they have had time to change the record since then. >
