Please direct replies to Elizabeth Ankerson (who is not a SERIALST

Elizabeth:
Although you posted this question on Autocat, I am also replying on
SERIALST, as there are many serials librarians who can probably give you
a better response than I can.

ANYONE ELSE FEEL FREE TO RESPOND TO ELIZABETH (LIZ@QUEENS.LIB.NY.US)

To answer your questions:

We have Geac Advance, which uses the MARC format for holdings & locations.

I THINK that Oregon State University is offering their (Geac Advance)
publications patterns for sale. I do not know the cost.

We decided that we had to MANUALLY convert every (serial) title to the
MFHL because we still had to decide individually on each title's receipt
delay, claim delay, etc., etc., which is something that can vary from
library to library.

Conversion was (and still is) very labor intensive. We are currently
only doing this for our standing orders. We do not plan on converting
our periodicals in the near future.

Feel free to contac me if you have any more questions.
