Re: gift subs Debbie Ludwig 22 Apr 1995 01:43 UTC

Our library accepts gift subscriptions from patrons under certain
conditions. We usually require a two year committment due to processing
costs. If the patron has paid for the subscription, then we will go to
the publisher for problems, including claims. If this is a publisher
freebie, then the library doesn't always claim the item as it does take
staff time and money to obtain these issues. Some of our gifts are long
term and we keep a contact name so that when the renewal comes in, we can
send it along for payment.
