The University of Maryland at College Park has both MPrint & MCard. They
added the info to our online catalogue where the periodicals desk (where the
stuff is located) gets about 10 queries a week (up from maybe 5 a year
before the stuff was catalogued).

We do not have any printers & I looked into that last year. The last
printers known were back in 1988 or 1989 or so (according to the incredulous
guy who used to repair those machines - he hasn't seen one in a *long* time).

We do have two readers (old looking green-screened machines whose front
knobs keep falling off). The patrons are given the cards & are instructed
to have pen & paper handy to take notes if they're going to use the items.
Generally people are happy with that arragement - they also have little
choice since the cost of copies via U Missouri or Readex is quite high &
have a minimum limit.

As far as we're concerned the material is of use to some of our patrons and
should be made as acessible as possible. It would be nice if we had MFilm
or MFiche copies of this stuff instead but with the budget cuts I doubt if
that will be feasible for a long time, if ever (I doubt if it is a high
priority).
