Duties and responsibilities:  The Technical Services Coordinator in Williams
Library will be responsible for the coordination of all purchasing,
acquisition, processing, and cataloging activities for the library and the
supervision of two paraprofessionals.  The incumbent also serves as the prime
Technical Contact with the South Dakota Library Network / PALS system and
will take a leading role in the provision of electronic resources to the
campus community.  An ALA-accredited MLS is required, as are at least tow
years professional cataloging experience in a responsible technical services
position.  Experience with on-line library systems, Ethernet and CD-ROM
networks required; PALS experience highly desired.  Excellent oral and
written communication skills are essential, as is the ability to work in a
collegial fashion.
