Dear People,

I wanted to recommend a book we purchased through the ALA Editions Catalog
1996-97.

It is called:  Serials Management, a Practical Guide  by Chiou-Sen Dora Chen
ISBN 0-8389-0658-3 $31.50 if you are an ALA member.  It is on page 38 in the
catalog.

As someone with no  "formal" education in library science but learned on the
job I found this brought everything together for me and it has been very helpful.

The author often refers to serials management as one of the most difficult
parts of library work.
Makes you feel pretty good about what you are doing, anyway.
