I need your advice!

We just received Cancer Cytopathology, which is "the first section of [the
journal] Cancer devoted to a specialty area...." according to the publisher.

It has substantive, peer-reviewed articles, and it seems that it's the first of
several planned specialty sections. The running title is given as
"Cancer (Cancer Cytopathology)"

The mothership journal Cancer will publish v.79 and v.80 this year. The
inaugural issue of Cancer Cytopathology is v.81 n.1, with issues 2-6
expected this year. The front matter leads me to believe that 1998 will see
Cancer v.82 and v.83, with Cancer Cytopathology as v.84.

My inclination is not to create a new bibliographic record for this section,
but rather to treat it (and any future section) as a part of the main journal
Cancer. However, my worry is about how these "parts" get cited in the future.
Most users, I suspect, would assume this substantive-looking journal is a
stand-alone title and cite it as Cancer Cytopathology (who besides librarians
reads the frontmatter!) Anyone looking for that title in our online systems
won't find it.

Is this worth worrying about, or do I simply need a long weekend?!?

Thanks in advance,
