        Acquisitions/ Documents Librarian
         Edward Bennett Williams Law Library
        Georgetown University Law Center

Qualifications

Required: Master's degree from an ALA accredited library
school.

Preferred: Law library experience or knowledge of legal
materials; experience with government documents;
experience with full range of electronic resources;
supervisory experience; experience with automated library
systems; good interpersonal and communication skills.

Duties

The Acquisitions/ Documents Librarian:
Supervises the Receiving Unit within the Acquisitions
Department, to ensure that serials processing and mail room
operations are efficient and timely, and that online records of
serial receipts are accurate.

Manages government documents acquisition and processing,
including the Library's participation in the Federal Depository
Library Program and access to electronic government
information resources.

Coordinates the Library's acquisition and dissemination of
information in electronic form, including publications in
CD-ROM format and resources available through the Internet.
 Identifies new sources of information and the best means of
accessing them.  Coordinates the Library's efforts in storing
and disseminating electronic documents.
