HI!

We have Sirsi's Unicorn and we, too, have set up 5 control (or
check-in) records for Mutation Research. Fortunately, Sirsi allows us to
link multiple control records to one bibliographic record. We have
created (1) control record for the main title, and (1) control record for
EACH section. By being linked to the main title record our holdings are
displayed in volume order.

We have the one bibliographic record for _Mutation Research_ which has
notes in a 500 field describing the different sections and their date
ranges (always a joy to maintain!). MEDLINE doesn't index under the
section titles, so it's not important for us to have bib records for each
section. The notes fields suffice in the event that someone is searching
the OPAC using the sect. title, since the main searching function in our
OPAC is keyword.

Regards,
Paula Lynch
