Perhaps you could try searching Ulrich Plus by the subjects i.e., science, physics, medicine, etc. Mitch Rogers Information Express www.express.com (3)------------------------- Date: Thu, 23 Oct 1997 16:29:26 -0400 From: Lynne Stevens <lstevens@RMWC.EDU> Subject: Re: how many journals.... Mary Page asked how many science periodicals exist. My acquisitions/collection development librarian suggested the Bowker Annual as a resource. Good luck! Lynne N. I remember information in an article by the editor? of JAMA in which they stated that at that time there were approximately 100,000 journals world wide. I do not have that paper anymore, but possibly you could do a search of JAMA in the past 5 years or so having to do with medical literature. I hope this helps.
