Your message was forwarded to me by a co-worker.  The main
reason we are binding some of our old books is for access
and use-some  are so "fragile" that they would be impossible
to use unless they are rebound.  It also preserves the item
for future use.  We have not been binding periodicals on a
regular basis though we will be sending out a few very
select titles in the near future.
