SYSTEMS LIBRARIAN, SERIAL RECORDS SECTION
GS-1410-9, Salary:  $33,650

DESCRIPTION:  As a systems librarian in the Serial Records Section, Technical Services Division, the librarian performs a variety of tasks which support the development and utilization of automated systems for processing acquisitions, bibliographic, holdings and authority data.  Duties include participating in the development, testing and implementation of new automated systems or enhancements to existing systems such as NLM's Voyager Integrated Library System; assisting in the preparation of systems documentation; training staff on new or enhanced systems features, preparing various reports from processing data; monitoring routine production activities, and serving as a microcomputer support coordinator in providing assistance to staff using microcomputer software and hardware.
