We scan SISAC barcodes at check-ins whenever they are available: we have
Sirsi's Stilas system. I wish more publishers print them--makes the check-in
process very much easier.

I was just informed that a journal publisher currently printing the SISAC
Bar Code Symbol on their publications may stop. They haven't heard that
anyone is scanning the code, so they feel no one will be troubled if they
do so.

If you are scanning the SISAC Bar Code Symbol on journals at check-in or
some other time, I would appreciate your just dropping me an e-mail saying
so, which I can then summarize for the publisher.

Many thanks,
Sandy
