Yes it was. Often considered the worst published canon adventure ever. I get it as an excellent exercise of all non combat skills but still - navigating bureaucracy in less than 12 parsecs is a bit dull. If I wanted that I could LARP the DMV.

Well, you say that, but with a bit of preparation of NPCs (so they're not just the numbers and stats given in the book) and players who are up for a bit of role play not combat, this can work.  My group certainly had a lot of fun with it. It wasnt, maybe, our best evening,  but between chatting up x and using posh Zilan wine (previous adventure) to bribe y and enduring the rain on the further continent, it definitely had its moments.  I also seem to recall a nice moment when The Captain (being played by another player as he was away) bought himself a first class ticket on the sleeper out to the further location and pilot accompanying him (also being played by the same player) a lousy ticket.

I think I wrote up our experience on TML a while back.

We probably did 2/3 of it in the evening and decided that was enough and that we'd move on for the next session, but as a one off we enjoyed it.  It was a good reffing challenge.

I reckon I've seen worse published adventures although I can see why this would come top of many groups' lists.
