Adding ships to MTU … A TL10 bulk hydrocarbon freighter. It’s almost the same as a TL9 one, but has integrated sensors, and grav plating and inertial compensators, which means it costs a lot more.

The Polat Class is County Corporations replacement for the Osuuen Class bulk freighters designed predominantly on the Osuuen class using the latest county technology to enable a better working environment for the crew, along with better sensors. The production of hydrocarbons was deemed of almost primary importance to the County at the time of the design of the Polat class and ship building resources allocated to their construction.

There are 28 ships in the class. There are 14 Polat allocated to the Darnikki to Home route. As each ship of the class was delivered an Osuuen Class was freed up to undergo modifications to be put on the New Home to Home route. With the profitability of the New Home to Home route evident another order for 14 additional ships was placed. The original 14 ships in the class then underwent modifications to Polat A’s in the same manner as Osuuen As using one jump’s fuel as additional hydrocarbon storage. There are 14 Polat A’s currently in service. There are no current plans to order more ships or undertake any further modifications.

The modifications that follow show the costs of the Polat Class if they were to be produced as new. The cost of the modifications was insignificant.
