My every other month running of The Traveller Adventure is due to play in early May but under lockdown, we're going to have to postpone or try a virtual game.  I'm inclined to try the latter although I'm not at all sure about the enterprise!  (Technically, socially, logistically.)

My regular players seem to be up for it but it occurred to me that this might be an opportunity to offer a guest slot as TML has been kind enough to show an interest in TTA in the past.

I have doubts about this too as of course time zone issues may come into play, it may affect the dynamics of the group, and it may expose me as not a very good referee - just someone who can write about it afterwards!  (Not to mention the technicalities once more!)

Anyway, if there is anyone who is interested it looks as if it will be on our usual Thursday evening on May 7th from 6-9pm BST (GMT +1).  I think it best to just offer one slot, so if there is much interest I'll decide via random lottery.

Options for a character would be:

long running NPC on the crew that's in the original book

long running NPC on the crew that's not in the original book

     (see TML reports past for possibilities and 'history' if you care)

one of the passengers taken on for Yebab - several of whom appeared in the last TML report

someone on Yebab - but not sure how long it will take for us to actually get to the planet.

We play Mongoose rules in as much as we stress about them at all.  We designed characters under MgT1 but are sort of sliding towards MgT2 as we go.

We'll probably play via WebEx or Zoom although this isn't decided yet and I may opt for 'proper' gaming software.

Bring your own drinks/food/dice.

 

As we only play, in theory, every other month I'm hoping it would be just the one guest appearance, but you never know...!
