One time, for an RP scene between my character and a few others that
they were hosting for dinner, I put a fair bit of thought into the menu;
I came up with dishes from the various cuisines of the (sub)sector,
along with something traditional from my character's own culture, and
slotted them into courses: appetizer, soup and salad, entree, dessert.

I also, writing about it afterward, had the chef prepare a single
serving of another local culture's funeral dish, to remind my character
why he was doing all of this...

Sounds nifty!

But did we miss why the funeral dish was relevant?



No actual food was made for the scene (or the epilogue), but maybe this
account will inspire someone.

I must have sent in the menu and the Vargr merde I made for Second Scions Society?  Will check tomorrow.  Must sleep now but enjoying the rain on the roof as I turn out the lights...
