Adding ships to MTU … this time TL 10 Autonomous Fighters. Drop them around a Gass Giant and let them get on with the job …

I haven’t playtested them in combat yet, but they should be ok.

The Sadarah class autonomous fighter is an experimental County naval design using the NHR Basic Function 570 Intelligent Robot Brain instead of both pilot and computer.

The County Navy is evaluating the fighter for patrolling and securing remote gass giants. This would allow the potential to secure fuel sources from sub 1,000 ton shipping with minimal additional Navy deployment.

The expected deployment looks to be a squadron of 12 Sadarah Fighters with a reduced flight of 2 SDBs, with the Sadarah’s being subordinate to the commander of the SDB flight.

So far evaluations of the deployment in the Darnikki system are going well.

Squadrons of Sadarah Fighters number 12 fighters split into 2 flights of 6 in order to organise each beam laser into a single battery of 6 with a UCP of 4, or 10 of the 12 in the squadron to form a single battery of UCP 5.

One fighter in each flight is designated lead, and one flight leader is designated squadron leader. Each fighter is capable of being flight leader or squadron leader and can replace any flight or squadron leader following any re-designation of mission or loss as necessary.

The Sadarah class uses the same hull and many of the same components as the Arrayda class autonomous fighter and the County Navy is evaluating both designs individually and together.

The Sadarah is a completely autonomous fighter. Put in a system with a gass giant the fighter can re-fuel itself and with beam lasers is not restricted to limited deployments due to ammunition usage.
