If you have digital copies that are OCRed vs. just images, that might help. If everything is images w/o OCR, you are in the land of more labour sadly.

Yes, the good news is that JTAS discs provide the text of the articles rather than just images, it was just the prospect of copying/pasting every article into Word that looked tedious.  But I've got to open every one anyway to examine it's metadata, contents etc, so it's not that much more work.  I've done a dozen as an experiment but haven't been hurrying to put them at the top of the to do list.
