I thought that was taking a -DM on survival ;) 

I guess the BPs can get you when your -DM leaves you on your deathbed. 

If you don't have enough, then it's the charge at the end of The Last Samurai.

Using BPs for survival reminded me of the early scene in Tangos with Dingos when Kevin Costner’s character, shot in the leg, charges forward on his horse hoping to be killed (he didn’t want to be alive but lose his leg). The rest of his troop thinks it’s a real charge, rush the enemy, and are victorious.

 

Afterwards, the General in charge tells his person physician to treat Costner, since his “bravery” won the skirmish.
