Fun meeting you too, and as a fellow player, not my GM.

I would have to give you the prize for the best line of the evening, even if it was ooc - 'I'm stupid enough to do that!' (we needed a volunteer to walk ahead of the ATVs across a frozen lake of methane, IIRC, and his character had INT 3).

Cheers,
Jim

Quick note on this without wishing to preempt a write up for FT which I'm thinking about.

Weekend seems to have gone well from  a player perspective.

Greg did a good job in herding us all into a dense three days of gaming which I'm familiar with from TravCon.  I think 38 games were on offer all told.  Despite the lack of having to actually travel to get there and the social demands of all the 'between stuff' including sourcing meals etc, it was still utterly exhausting as I focused all that concentration into small screens. (Plus tech issues, plus learning two new bits of software, plus prepping for a game that might only have one player, plus virtually all new people to meet).  I did refrain from playing 'evening' slots which were 'small hours' for me in a time zone 6 hours ahead.

Of course it wasn't the same as 'being there' (ie f2f with people) but we still got in some good Travelling.  I signed up for three games and offered to run one.  In the end, no one took me up on the latter (good for my humility after the 'instant sign ups' of TravCon! and something of a relief in many ways).  But there was a slot in another game so I played four.  Probably a mistake to try doing two in a row on Sunday, but you know me and the FOMO.

Took today off work to collapse and recover.  Been much needed.  So that's not dissimilar to TravCon.

Played some classics (Argon Gambit amd Across the Bright Face), played in a new thing (based on the ref's own campaign), played in a Dave Thomas (author of Spacedogs!) special, now doing something similar with dolphins in the prison on Darkmoon (GURPS book).

All great fun if demanding.  Very glad I had three screens.  Didn't like audio only and no video.  Fun meeting, Jim, one of my own TTA players in one game.

I'll write more later.

Well done Greg Caires organising it all and still managing to sort out the lost such as myself while he played as well!
