As it happens, Andromeda has just started a run on Freeview tv in the UK (last night).  I just watched it this evening.  Makes a lot more sense now having actually seen the first episode.  (A while back a caught half a dozen either later in season one or in season two).  But yes, ramps.

Years ago, we watched the whole series on DVD.  As I recall, first season is really quite good, the second through fourth were okay, but the fifth was bizarre and horrible.

Ok, that's really weird.  Have just been told much the same thing in an email just a few seconds ago.

Well, I've been forewarned!

As I said in reply to that email, SeaQuest, which has just finished a run (in the same slot actually) seems to have a good first season and is rapidly getting silly in second (I'm a bit behind).

Shame really.  I quite like Roy Scheider in it.  Oh, and loved Stephanie Beacham.  Of course.

I was able to watch the first half of the first season of SeaQuest before going back to sea.  Years later, I was able to get the first season on DVD, and watched it.  It was quite good.  I *STILL* want to see the second and third seasons.  I did catch one episode of the 3rd season when it was on the air (and my ship was in port).  I remember being confused about it.
