Well done on an analysis way beyond me.

I think my takeaway from this is there might be a marginal saving but it's probably not worth characters trying to "game" unless they'd just like the mental health benefits of greenery rather than cargo deck bulkheads.  Which IMO wouldn't be an insignificant boon.

Of course, in the case of my Count's yacht, who doesn't really carry gravy, any saving made is saving made.  But more importantly, the Countess is keen on the Garden - so it's a no brainer really.  Probably mental health benefits *and* physical health benefits in pandering to her every wish...

As for cargo space being less than 88% full... well, that's certainly been the March Harrier of late.  *Much* less.  As they hare around with other priorities.  Or with a cargo hold full of water to do an extra Jump.  Speaking of which, I don't think I ever posted the last game write up.  I must do that.
