Hello Ian,

Once you know the rating go to the section on combat,
however you still need to calculate the armor cost.

Using armor on the exterior shouldn't take up space
inside the hull.

I suppose if you put the armor on the interior some space
would need to be taken up, may be not enough to worry
about

Me, I'd be  mostly interested in what shoots through it and how well :)

Morning PDT Evyn,

MT Referee's Manual page 63 seems to be a four step process. Step 1 Select armor material type; Step 2 Select the minimum armor protection rating which for spacecraft and starships is 40; Step 3 Determine the modifier for the protection rating; and Step 4: Determine weight and price.

If I'm following you I'm guessing that what you are after is Step 2 and Step 4 determining the price.

Hopefully I'm in the ball park, and if not then I'll have to listen to the radio.;-)

There isn't any armor reference in Mayday, but I keep hoping I will
have a bright idea. Mayday was written in between Book2 and Book5.

Actually that helps with another project. Which is starting with
Snapshot and ending in MgT....

Maybe MT, as they rewrote a lot of CT into terms of Striker, I just
haven't dug into it yet.
