Yes, you did say 'annual maintenance', but in the real world this may only work for large shipping companies or logistics corporations.

And, if the captain chooses to do so, he can end the annual scheduled cruises not in San Diego, but in Tijuana, where 'annual maintenance' and its inspection can be concluded in 30 minutes, if the price is right.

I'm sure there are OTU equivalents. :-)

Well I DID say ‘annual maintenance’, which, per the rules occurs, well, annually :-) and takes two weeks. IIRC one of the LBB’s even mentions it as the time the crew gets their annual vacation. (or maybe it was a Library entry…I don’t recall and am too lazy to look right now ...
