Well, as I think Andy said somewhere, I'm working on proper subject indexes (now that the numbering system is 'fixed'), but they take a lot of time so it might be a fee months before they're finished. (The HERO section is done.). They will eventually be about as long as the bibliography itself is bit will let you find *anything* in it in theory. Worlds are indexed by every UWP digit, ships by type, name and size, people, places, ideas... They're pretty exhaustive (and exhausting!) but I'll try and get them done asap. They're quite fun to browse in themselves.

I've done sections B to H but they need double checking. I've done almost all of A (ie classic Traveller) but it still needs some work and then checking. J onwards (ie Mongoose, MgT2 and Cepheus are yet to do).

But hopefully they would also reduce something of the need for you to think of keywords. Although as you say, the PDF is searchable so the need for my subject indexes is reduced.

Do feel free to ask anytime if you want help with ways of searching it. If nothing else it might give me ideas for indexing terms that would be helpful.

Some examples:

You should be able to search for 'Type R' and find every instance of such a ship in Traveller if it had a deck plan or stat block.

You could also search for '400-ton' (always put the hyphen) and find every ship of that size. 4 digit tonnages do NOT have a comma, 5+ do.

'Strephon' will find the Emperor and a quick whizz though such hits will find his UPP (also in periodical bib)

'[-4,1]' will find maps and other references to the Spinward Marches (see page 8)

'Chamax' or 'reticulan' will find your Alien creatures

'Psionic' or 'robot' or 'meson' might be interesting browse fodder
