Position Number: 855

We are seeking a manager for our Serials Section. You will oversee the
operations of units involved in the acquisition, cataloguing, processing
and indexing of serials. You will also be responsible for allocating and
managing resources, setting goals and priorities, formulating policies and
developing the serials collection.

Positions at this level work under broad policy control and direction, and
involve complex professional work and management of an organisational
element. Wide experience and knowledge of current practices and trends in
serial acquisitions and control are required as well as independent
professional judgement. Management skills and abilities necessary to
undertake the allocation and monitoring of resources and to contribute to
the development and implementation of policy initiatives or corporate
strategies are required.
