Subject: Worst Serial Title Changes of the Year

The Worst Serial Title Changes of the Year, 2001 were "presented" during
the ALCTS Awards Program during the American Library Association
Conference in June 2001. The "winners" were selected by the Worst Serial
Title Change of the Year Committee, which is a Serials Section committee.

The "winners" are now posted on the committee's website. Please go to URL
http://www.ala.org/alcts/organization/ss/worst.html to see the list of the
winners for 2001, as well as the previous "winners" back to 1984.

It's never too early to start compiling a list of nominees for the 2002
awards, which will be given to titles that changed during calendar year
2001. Please feel free to send nominations to my attention.

Thanks to all who submitted nominations this year. I hope that you enjoy
reading the list and will continue to submit more nominations.
