Subject: Summary of responses about ? keeping books

There were 7 responses to my question about how libraries deal with multiple
titles paid in one subscription price, when the costs of individual journals
are not broken out.

All 7 put the price in one line. Two put the whole price on one of the
titles, and 5 create a line for the membership and put the total there.

I thought Kansas State University's approach was interesting. They create a
brief bib record for the membership to put in a PO, and then suppress the
record from the OPAC. They are an Endeavor site.

No one responded with any kind of formula for splitting the price, although
one librarian expressed interest in one, since the IEEE titles serve
multiple departments at their institution.
