You could make use of the resources that ALA has for Banned Book Week.  I would suggest taking a look at the list of 100 most frequently challenged books from the last decade and pull out those that are relevant to civil liberties or law in general.  My guess is that your attorneys might be surprised and/or amused by what is there.
