To the ALCTS Serials Section Members & the Executive Committee:

The ALCTS Serials Section Nominating Committee is seeking nominations
for the Serials Section offices of Vice Chair/Chair Elect,
Member-at-Large and Secretary.
This is an opportunity for you to participate in this important process
and to help us find talented, dedicated, and hard working members of the
Section, whom you feel would provide excellent leadership and, herefore,
are worthy candidates for these three offices.

The term of office for these positions is three years and commences in
2003.  The deadline for accepting your nominations is October 10, 2002.
We urge you to send your nominations, preferably by email, to the Chair
of the Committee, Linda Smith Griffin (lgriffi@lsu.edu) or contact her
by phone or fax at the appropriate number indicated below as soon  as
possible.  You also may contact the other members of the Committee.

   In your nomination, please include:

Nominee's name, the office for which the person is being nominated;
Contact information for the nominee; and, Background information
supporting the nomination.
