I am doing some cleanup of some serial records and came across a
denominational title that appears to have some problems in our local
database and on OCLC. I need some guidance from some of you regarding
how many records there should be.

The OCLC records in the databases are #2250634 and #48977019 (Leadership
edition). Both records presently run from the inception of the
periodical in 1970. However, upon examining our issues closely, we have
Accent (Leader edition) running from volumes 1-22 (1970-1992) and
Accent (Leadership edition) beginning at volume 23 #1 (Oct 1992) and
running to the present. Obviously, the record for the leadership
edition is incorrect as to the start date. My questions are: Does a
record need to be added for an Accent (Leader edition) running from
1970-1992? Does there even need to be separate records for these
"editions"? Will a note in the "500" Marc field suffice to cover the
editions?
