The full run of the Journal American (1902-1966) is listed in the
UMI Newspapers in Microform online catalog
http://wwwlib.umi.com/nim/menu .
The catalog number is 65083.

At least 1941-1957 is available from the Library of Congress
Photoduplication Service.

I'm trying to find price and availability for "New York Journal
American" on microfilm. I've already tried UMI (ProQuest), Gale,
and
Heritage.

I would appreciate ideas on how to locate this title on microfilm.
(Who
else to contact, etc.)

If anyone has any information please contact me off list. Thanks!

Hello,

I checked the 2003 edition of Guide to Microforms in Print

There is a see reference from New York Journal American to
New York Herald Tribune

The entry states:

New York: New York Tribune Inc. v.86 n.29052Jun 1 1926-v.126
n.43483 Apr 24
1966. - 1 - (Cont. New York Herald, New York Tribune, merged with
New York
World-telegram and the Sun, and: new York journal American to form
world
journal tribune. Suspended Dec 9 1962-Mar 1963. Sep 16-Oct 15 1965)
Dist. US UMI Proquest - US Eastman

Distributor info for US Eastman

Eastman Kodak Co.
343 State St.
Rochester, NY 14650-1206 USA
585-724-3041
FAX 585-724-1985

I'm not sure this entry means that it is available.

I also checked the OCLC record and found this note:

Also available on microfilm from the Library of Congress
Photoduplication
Service.

You might also search this title in the OCLC Union List and see if
anyone has microform holdings and contact them directly.

I did a quick search and found this:
