Subject: [SERIALST] LIS Student Needs Help With Assignment

Hello,

I have enjoyed reading the posts here over the last couple of
months. I am currently an LIS student at Wayne State
University in Detroit, MI. I also work at the Kettering
University Library in the serials and circulation departments.
Kettering University, formerly General Motors Institute of
Technology, is primarily an engineering college in Flint, MI.

I need some help with an assignment that I have in school. I
am taking Introduction to Information Profession 6010 and I
have to interview a librarian that has been in the field for
at least two years. The professor stated that we could not
interview anyone that we work with. I arranged to interview
an area librarian that has had a very long and interesting
career but that didn’t work out.

My Assignment – “Library Leaders Paper. Interview an
information professional that has been in the field at least 2
years. Ask them at least 10 questions that cover their
education, work experience, goals, why they entered the
profession, expectations of the profession, thoughts to the
future, etc. Write at least 1500 words and include a
graduate-level discussion about what was learned from this
interview process (which encompasses at least 400 of the 1500
words). Include the questions asked of the Leader. (LIS6010
Professor Schroeder)”

If anyone is willing to help me out I would surely appreciate
it. I have listed the questions below that I have come up with.

Thank You,

Dawn M. Winans
