Portland Customer Services is pleased to announce that it has signed an
agreement to provide journal subscription fulfilment on behalf of Woodhead
Publishing Ltd. The fulfilment agreement will take effect with the renewal
of journal subscriptions for 2007.

Established in 1989, Woodhead Publishing Ltd (www.woodheadpublishing.com)
is an independent international book and journals publishing company
publishing in the areas of food science, technology & nutrition, materials
engineering, welding and metallurgy, textile technology, environmental
management and finance, commodities and investment. Woodhead publishes 6
journals and is currently embarking on a programme of investment to expand
the journal programme in key subject areas with the launch of two new
journals, Ships and Offshore Structures and Applied Bionics and
Biomechanics, in 2006.

This agreement brings the number of journals handled by Portland Customer
Services to over 120. Portland Customer Services is the fulfilment and
distribution arm of Portland Press Ltd, the wholly owned subsidiary of the
Biochemical Society. In addition to handling journal fulfilment, PCS also
handles book order processing, membership fulfilment, online journal
hosting and conference registration on behalf of academic societies and
