value per issue academic Patricia Pettijohn 27 Apr 2007 17:13 UTC

Greetings,

I am working on a collection valuation project, and am rapidly balding
as a result. I have quite a lot of information on periodical values by
various methods-by copy costs per page, by bound volume, by current
subscription costs multiplied by holdings, etc., but I am hoping that
someone can point me to costs/values by individual issue.

I have seen some cases where folks take the total number of unbound
issues, divide by 12, and use this figure to calculate by volume, but I
find this approach unsatisfactory.

Thanks,

Patricia Pettijohn
