Missouri Library Network Corporation (MLNC) has an opening for a
resourceful, flexible, customer-service-oriented individual to support
our member libraries.  Located in St. Louis, MLNC organizes and delivers
OCLC-based information services, related electronic services and
content, and training in the management and use of information to its
over 500 member libraries throughout Missouri and Illinois.

RESPONSIBILITIES:
Reporting to the Member Services Manager, the Member Services Librarian
provides extensive support and consulting for libraries on a variety of
products and services, including OCLC, using multiple communication
methods.  Additional duties include:

-- Perform custom cataloging for member libraries
-- Represent MLNC at local, state, and national meetings
-- Conduct workflow analysis for member libraries
-- Complete in-house projects as assigned

REQUIRED EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE/SKILLS:
-- MLS from an ALA-accredited program
-- Solid knowledge of OCLC, MARC, AACR2 and current cataloging practices

-- Library or library-related experience, particularly in Technical
Services
-- Experience using OCLC cataloging, interlibrary loan, and/or reference
services
-- Demonstrated organizational skills and service orientation
-- Strong communication skills both written and oral
-- Proven ability to manage and complete several projects at one time
-- Ability to work with diverse staff in member libraries with varying
degrees of background and expertise
-- Experience working in a Windows environment with MS Office software
-- Willingness and ability to travel 10% of the time
-- Valid driver's license and ability to maneuver equipment

PREFERRED EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE/SKILLS:
-- Familiarity with a variety of integrated library systems
-- Experience in several types of libraries
-- Public speaking and presentation skills

SALARY:
Negotiable, dependent on qualifications.  Exceptional benefits, 25 days
vacation, TIAA-CREF.
