ACRL/NY Symposium 2007: Call for Posters

ACRL/NY Annual Symposium: Library 2.0: A New Social Model
When: Friday, November 30, 2007, 8:30 am - 3:30 pm

Social networking has revolutionized the information infrastructure and
expanded our means of communication. The 2007 ACRL/NY Symposium "Library
2.0 A New Social Model" explores the ways in which this user-minded,
participatory framework is transforming all aspects of library services.

ACRL/NY invites you to present a poster session at the Symposium that
addresses any issue related to this theme.

Topics might include:
a model library using Library 2.0
training library staff to use Library 2.0 and other social networking
and new technological tools
using Library 2.0 software with blackberries, smart phones,
gaming,and/or podcasting
creating virtual library communities via Library 2.0
Library 2.0 and FaceBook,MySpace and YouTube
designing library websites with Web 2.0
Web 2.0 applications and technologies
other innovative approaches to implementing Library 2.0.

Please email a 100-200 word description of your proposed poster session
by October 10, 2007 to Barbara Bonous-Smit at bbonoussmit@qcc.cuny.edu

Include author name(s), email and telephone contact numbers, and the
title of the poster session. A limited number of poster proposals will
be selected for presentation, and presenters will receive a reduced
Symposium registration rate.

The Symposium will take place in New York City at Baruch College on
Friday, November 30, 2007 @ 8:30 am to 3:30 pm.
