Good morning,

How do libraries catalog their atlases and plat books? I would like to
catalog ours as serials using the map format work form (Type:e and
BLvl:s). I find that most materials of this type when cataloged as
serials are coded Type:a, thus losing the cartographic aspect. Is this
simply a matter of choice or are there any guidelines out there? Any
help would be greatly appreciated.
