Continuations (Serials) Specialist

Albany Law School seeks a Library Technical Assistant - Continuations
(Serials) Specialist.  This position is responsible for receiving
continuations (serials) and creating and maintaining records for them in
SirsiDynix’s Unicorn library management system.  Other
responsibilities include preparing material for the shelves, claiming,
and handling materials for commercial binding.  This material is
complex; dealing with it offers an on-going challenge and learning
experience.  The successful candidate must have excellent
organizational, communication, analytical, and problem solving skills.
Meticulous attention to detail is essential, as is the ability to
accomplish multiple tasks in a busy environment.

Qualifications include:  Bachelor’s degree and minimum one year of
related library experience; Associate's degree with more extensive
experience considered. Experience with MS-Windows and personal computers
and the ability to shelve and retrieve books and lift boxes required.
