Survey on Technical Services Librarians Michael Kim 11 Jul 2011 19:05 UTC

***Please excuse cross-postings***

Hello,

We are doing a study of how technical services librarians acquire the
knowledge and skills necessary for success in their positions. This
survey asks several questions about your degree and professional
experience, the type of education and skills you as a technical
services librarian need, your opinion on the importance of continuing
education, and the support for continuing education offered at your
library.

Your assistance in answering this survey will help us understand how
LIS education can be improved and the kinds of continuing education
opportunities that should be offered and should be expected to be
offered. Please only complete this survey once.

Other than the type of technical services work you do and some general
demographic and scholastic data, we do not collect any identifying
data. Your results will be completely anonymous, and we will not be
able to connect your name or your library's name with any of your
answers.

We anticipate that the survey should take approximately 15-25 minutes
to answer, depending on how much you have to share with us. Should you
wish to discontinue participation, you may close your browser's window
at any time.
